Castle Wars is a card strategy game of terrific fun. In Castle Wars, a Castle War begins with you and your opponent being dealt eight cards. Each one of the Castle Wars cards affects one of the four major elements each having two properties related to either protecting your castle or destroying your opponents. Having a Castle War with a friend or an opponent is great fun.
The first three major Castle Wars elements involve personnel related to Castle War properties - Builders and Bricks, Soldiers and Weapons, Magic and Crystals. The fourth element - Castle and Fence deals with the status of the health of your Castle.
In the Beginner level Caste Wars game, the goal is to either build your Castle to a level of a 100 or destroy your opponents Castle to a score of zero. Therefore the name Castle Wars or having a Castle War.
So one at a time you pick a Castle War card that affects either yours or your opponent's elements. You pick cards to build up Builders, Bricks, Soldiers, Weapons, Magic, Crystals. By increasing the supply levels of Bricks, Weapons and Crystals you unlock higher value Castle Wars cards. There are also cards to steal supplies from your opponent.
The personnel cards - Builders, Soldiers and Magic - relate to how much additional supplies you get each turn. For example for every Castle Wars Builder you have you get an additional brick.
The Castle cards deal with your Castle and your Fence. You can win by building your castle to a height of 100 before you opponent does.
Attack cards can attack any of your opponent's elements including his Castle and Fence. So there is a struggle between building your Castle, your ability to build your Castle, and destroying your opponents castle and resources.
So the game play begins by selecting a card. Your opponent then picks a card from their 8 cards. Each time a new card replaces the one selected. If you don't like any of your cards you can discard one of them. The game continues until either you or your opponent builds their castle or destroys the opponent's.
